Our Success is Attributed to Our People

We have expanded from two people into a team of 20 who are the heart and soul of our company. Each member of our group is dedicated to honesty, integrity and family values which results in the excellent quality and incredibly effective practice management solutions we offer today.

Anne is a graduate of the University of Toronto in the field of Engineering Science. To some degree, she has been with Visual-Eyes since its inception in 1996. As the company grew, so did her involvement. Initially, her responsibilities included bookkeeping and performing the odd programming task here and there. As time passed, her contribution evolved into what it is today.

Anne has become the backbone of the company, overseeing all aspects of essential day-to-day operations and collaborating with her team of talented managers. She is very proud of Visual-Eyes and its ability to make a difference in how a clinic operates.

We Asked Anne…

“What do you do in your free time?”

When I am not working or spending time with my kids, I love to get lost in a book or spend time creating my newest quilt.

“What is your favorite place that you have travelled to?”

I love to travel and love many places for different reasons, but if I had to pick 1 place, it would be Japan. The culture is so different and interesting, and everyone is very polite.

“If you were not working at Visual-Eyes, what would you be doing?”

I have often thought I might like to be a professional quilter. Teaching and travelling.

Heather joined the Visual-Eyes team after working in the banking sector for 15 years. Glenn and Anne who had been her clients, wooed her away from her bank job and she became part of our Visual-Eyes family in August 2010 as our company Controller, overseeing all financial aspects of the business.

Her move from a large corporate environment to a small, family-orientated workplace was a welcomed change. At Visual-Eyes, we bring an entirely new meaning to the word ‘teamwork’, and Heather enjoys how you are valued as a person and not another number.

We Asked Heather…

“What do you do in your free time?”

I am a recreational triathlete so training takes up a lot of my spare time and I have made it a family affair with my kids and husband also participating.

“What is your favorite place that you have travelled to?”

Paris and Rome were awesome! The amount of history there was incredible compared to here in Alberta.

“If you were not working at Visual-Eyes, what would you be doing?”

More triathlons and travelling.

Shelley worked in the PC industry for 9 years before coming to work for Visual-Eyes. Her background is mainly on the hardware side, dealing with networks in small to medium sized offices. She also built and repaired custom computers for a variety of clients. Shelley has been very happy with her move to Visual-Eyes as she enjoys one-on-one contact with customers and visiting clinics in person.

Shelley has now been with the company since 2007, starting off in customer service and training. Later she added sales to her skill set and became a team lead. She loves that she gets to learn new things every day, building on her MCSE from RDC where she was initially trained on Windows NT4!

We Asked Shelley…

“What do you do in your free time?”

I enjoy being outside doing things like hunting, fishing, gardening, and riding/driving horses. I also run a farm with my family.

“What inspires you?”

My friends. I have awesome friends that challenge me to be better every day.

“If you had 1 million dollars but had to spend it in one day, what would you buy?”

Buy land and go broke farming!

Nicole started in March 2017 with the Visual-Eyes Sales and Training team. We Asked Nicole…

“What do you do in your free time?”

“What is your favorite place that you have travelled to?”

There are so many great places, it’s hard to pick. Kuta Lombok, Indonesia is great. It has an amazing landscape.

Trusted by 300+ clinics across Canada.

I’ve tried a couple other EMR systems at other clinics and VE is the easiest and most straight forward to use.

The biggest advantages of Visual-Eyes are the continued reliability, the user-friendly interface, and efficiency within the exam module. We benefit from consistency among our ODs on exam charting, practice statistics, administration, and invoicing; all within one system. Visual-Eyes has integrated all aspects of patient care and practice management for our office.

Dr. Lisa Scharf
Armstrong Optometry

I’m a recent graduate, so I’ve used nothing but electronic health record systems in school and on all of my rotations. After having assessed several systems, I chose to use Visual-Eyes. I am very happy that I made this decision as it has helped our office run very smoothly and seamlessly right from the start. Nicole was a wonderful trainer and got us up to speed on the features. In addition, as we started using the system and had to contact the technical help desk we have always found them to be very polite and helpful. I personally find that the software integrates all aspects of the exams incredibly well. I would definitely recommend this system to colleagues. We look forward to growing our business with the help of Visual-Eyes and the fantastic support team.

We could not run without a good software system. Visual-Eyes solves many problems by having everything in one program, inventory, EMR etc.
